  • GRA offers a unique college-prep curriculum, resulting in a 100% college acceptance rate. Over 5 years, GRA students graduated and pursued higher education in 50+ universities in the nation.
  • Average class size of 6 students, allowing every student to receive individual help, support and advising from top-quality faculty and staff. Learning is also emphasized outside of the classroom, as the program helps to develop young men emotionally and socially.
  • Focused Curriculum: students are able to concentrate their course of study in specific areas: STEM, Humanities, English and Composition, Visual and Fine Arts. By specializing in a program of their interest at GRA, students will increase their likelihood of being accepted into one of their top university/or college choices.
  • Foundation Learning Program: is a credited, elective program that provides comprehensive, individual academic support for students at GRA. This program helps students create daily organizational habits to sharpen study and time management skills, extra support in the classroom, and mindful exercises to help stay focused.
  • The Productive Growth Center: is a unique program that provides not only a dedicated space for individual and group counseling, but also an interactive and recreational space featuring a hand tool workshop. Students will receive counseling from faculty while encouraging them to discover their interests in several topics (robotics, science, etc.)
  • Winter Intensives: during a two-week intensive program, students gain credit for taking experiential courses that develop students socially and emotionally in different topics: food and culture, fitness and nutrition, science, literature and history, college and career exploration, etc.
  • Summer Camps: allow students to discover and learn deeper about a special topic outside of the traditional classroom. Collaborating with Kent State University, students can also participate in a summer camp that explores Aerial Engineering, Robotics and Computer Science.
Student Life
  • There are 5 dormitories featuring large common areas, small kitchens and study lounges. Every dorm is managed by “dorm parents” who work to foster a sense of community and ensure safety.
  • More than 40% of students are international and of different ethnicities, creating diverse learning and living environments for GRA students. Allowing them to learn and connect with one another.
  • Extracurricular activities include a variety of 13 varsity sports and 9 clubs/organizations that are student-driven by current interests, helping them grow emotionally and socially. Off-campus trips are organized every weekend.
  • Evening study halls and evening study sessions are organized to make sure that students receive extra help from their teachers with class materials, homework, and assignments. Teachers also take turns to host evening study sessions covering different subjects to help students understand materials better.
  • Volunteer opportunities: GRA believes that involvement in the local community is very important, and it is a special component of a student’s extracurricular experience. The school organized many volunteer days such as STEAM days, Austinburg rehabilitation support, and Youth Leadership of Ashtabula County Day.
Intensive English Program
  • GRA offers an English Language Learning (ELL) program where the goal is to help international/non-English speaking students become an expert in the English language, develop skills to be academically successful in high school and university, and to earn great universities acceptances.
  • Focusing on each student’s individual performance and needs, GRA offers a wide range of assistance through 4 levels of English training course. TOEFL Preparation Course is also available.
  • English Speaking Partner Program (ESP): will pair each international student with an English speaking partner at GRA who acts as a mentor and friend, answering questions, suggesting ideas and helping to solve problems.
