“The staff at the International Student Services Association is really helpful and supportive when it comes to the college application process.”
“Best help I could have asked for when applying for colleges and scholarships. They are truly dedicated to providing the help needed for students from first generation families who are struggling with the details behind applying for higher education. I really enjoyed working with them for the past year and hope to hear more from them in the future.”
“They really do provide the best service and help to students, including myself. Being a first generation going to college, I was completely lost and they helped so much step by step and I honestly wouldn’t know where I would be at without them. And very friendly! I really do appreciate all the help and suggestions from them. Highly recommended if you are looking for that help or even just an extra push or information honestly!”
“The International Student Services Association was very helpful in finding the right colleges that were associated with my major. ISSA assisted me by finding the colleges based upon what I wanted. The ISSA also helped me through the college applications. When I was confused about something that I didn’t know, they immediately helped me out.”

“ISSA helped me identify what kind of universities might fit me. It also helped me to identify the scholarship opportunity and provide me the free campus visit services. ISSA educational consultants provided me the career interest test to help me choose the major that might fit me based on the scientific results and interests. ISSA also introduced me to some good scholarship programs (especially for international students) and helped me to apply.”

“ ISSA would look at my academic performance and interest to find the best match scholarship options for me. ISSA also helped me negotiate the scholarship amount I would receive from the university and helped me receive the most amount of scholarship possible for me. Usually, it is really challenging for international students to receive a scholarship for college. I am really appreciative of all the resources and guidelines provided to me to receive the scholarship to attend Kent State University. I am happy to be awarded a $16,000 merit scholarship for attending my dream school for four years. That is Awesome!!”

“ISSA really provides me with a good game plan and it releases a lot of stress on my family. For example, I am not really good at the standard test due to my language problem and the ISSA staff really offers a strategy to help me out. For example, ISSA staff provides me with the strategy to help me improve my test score for the ACT. The ISSA team really provided me with a lot of the assessment that really tested me out what kind of career and what type of school I should attend. It really provides me and my parents with a peace of mind knowing that we will have a good result regarding what’s the best college that fits for me to attend.”

“ISSA helped me to find better choices and apply to a lot of good schools, which one of them can be my first choice now. I am really thankful that ISSA helped me a lot to identify colleges and their prices, so that I can choose which college is a good fit for me but also affordable for my family. A lot of things we might not know about what types of scholarships I can get. For example I didn’t even know that I can get a scholarship for being a cheerleader. ISSA assisted me in identifying the scholarship options. I am currently getting a $63,000 dollars scholarship to cover my tuition expense for four years at the University of Mount Union, which is one of my top choice schools to go to for fall 2020. Without ISSA I probably had a less choice to even go to college in the U.S.A.”

“ I would like to thank Haowen and his team for their huge assistance. He and his team gave me (and my daughter) a great help in the preparation of the college application process. With a different educational system than my country, I (and my wife) had initially some difficulties in guiding my daughter to make college lists to be applied. They introduced and recommended a number of colleges providing detailed information about them which contains rank, tuition, and program etc. ISSA continuously tried to give scholarship and financial aid information for my daughter which was very useful to know the sources through email, text and phone call. I wouldn’t be able to catch up with some of them if they didn’t inform us. I really appreciate that.”

“ISSA especially helps the college process for international students who might feel lost during the college research. ISSA also keeps track of my college decision sincerely. They email me questions regarding my thoughts on which college to attend and gives me advice on where to take the next step. I was amazed by how hard they care about my process from start to end, even about my particular research in my high school. They are always willing to reach out for what I need whether it is for high school, college, or future. For example, I applied to graphic design/communication design for every college I applied to. Then, they told me about majoring in art and minoring in marketing at the same time. They really gave me the new sight of having better decisions for my future job.”
